When someone fails to obtain their social security card or identification card, they are generally required to present a Federal agent with their documentation in order to obtain a new card or Identification document. Generally, this is done in person, but there may be cases where it is done by mail. You can then use the card at any government agency that accepts Ecards, including but not limited to: Your Social Security number, receipt of government wages or salaries, and use of a government-issued driver's license. Ecards are not intended as an identification card. If you have any questions, you can always speak to a customs representative during your visit to Croatia. And if you plan on using id cards frequently, it is a good idea to keep them in a safe place and accessible. If you want to keep your id cards in a more permanent way, then a wallet may be the best option. If you have a passport from another country, you will not need to bring your passport with you when visiting France.
