In some cases, the card has a computer graphic image of the individual, while others accept a physical card. Once you have received the refund letter, you will need to return the id card and passport to the relevant authority. If you need to leave Spain for more than three days, you'll need to present your Spaniard id card at an Immigration center. There, you'll be given a boarding pass and your Spanish id card.
